    The upper section is painted with a continuous scene of mountain view. On the bottom section is painted with figured in the mountain. The central section is fruits and flower branches that works as separation of upper section and bottom. The vase is marked with double rings in cobalt blue which is typical of kangxi blue and white porcelain.

    Height: 7.5inches (18.5cm)
    Condition: Very good with normal wear by age.

    The exterior of the bowl is finely painted with four gilt circular panels depicting scholar stuff. The panels are reserved on a sgraffiato ruby-red ground adorned with lotus sprays. The interior has a stylised eight-point flowerhead radiating ruyi-heads in the center, surrounded by four lantern pattern on double rings.

    WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619) The bowl is thinly potted with rounded sides flaring to a gently everted mouth rim. The exterior is painted in cobalt of deep sapphire-blue tones with two striding five-clawed under-water dragons in lotus pond above a band of ruyi heads encircling the foot. The interior is painted reversed sea tidal on rim and medallion is decorated with a further front dragon amidst lotus flowers. With Japan style wood box

    Size: 2-1/2in x 6-1/2in, (6cm x 16cm).
    Condition: Generally good with very one tiny chip on the rim
    Provenance: Acquired from a Japanese collector. He purchased this item some 20 years ago in Japan.
